Indian writer, director, and actor, born in Thiruvananthapuram, India. He attended a boarding school in Ooty at the age of five, where his interest in drawing emerged. He then enrolled at Madras Christian College and obtained a bachelor's degree in economics. He started working as a copywriter in an advertising agency in Mumbai, and after a year, he joined Sistas advertising agency. He directed several works, such as Rithubhedam (1986) and Lucky Man (1995), and he also appeared as an actor in several works, such as Pachamanga (2020) and Poojai (2014). Among the awards he received was the Filmfare Award for Best Director for his film Rithubhedam (1986).
