A director, writer, and producer, born on October 11, 1950, in Haifa, Israel. After surviving an accident while in the army, he gave up architecture and turned to filmmaking. The first feature-length documentary that he directed was House (1980), while his first movie was Esther (1986). His most notable work includes Berlin-Jerusalem (1989), Kedma (2002), and Rabin, the Last Day (2015). Amos won an award at the Cannes Film Festival for his movie Kippur (2000).
