An American actress and singer of Mexican descent, born in Mazatlan, Mexico. She won the Tony Award in 2005 for Best Performance by an Actress in a Musical for her role in the play Spamalot. She played the role of the orthopedic surgeon Callie Torres in Grey’s Anatomy.
