An Austrian actress, born on January 11, 1945, in Lengdorf, Styria, Austria. At the age of 7, she made her debut in The White Horse Inn (1952). She appeared in 18 films as a child actress between 1952 and 1959. She is known for The Last Days of Pompeii (1959), Taras Bulba (1962), Bend Sinister (1970), and Day of the Idiots (1981). She won a Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer - Female for her role in Town Without Pity (1961). Christine wrote several books on beauty and health, as well as two autobiographies. She married four times and had two children. Christine Kaufmann died of leukemia in Munich at the age of 72, on March 28, 2017.
