He is a Mexican drummer and composer, born on November 1, 1971, in Mexico City, Mexico. At the age of five, he started playing drums. He studied at  Berklee College of Music and at Boston's New England Conservatory of Music. He participated in several musical projects. He is known for Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) (2014), Don't Breathe 2 (2021), and The Hippopotamus (2017).
