An American actor, born in New York City, on June 10, 1905. After graduating from high school, he joined one of the touring theater groups, where he gained many experiences that enabled him to work at the New York National Theatre. His film debut was in the movie Sherlock Holmes in 1942, and then the Voice of Terror in the same year. He was a strong man in the Actors Guild and served there for forty years. He was called a man for all seasons, he was also a foodie and was known in all New York restaurants. He died on June 18, 1971, in Santa Monica, California, due to a car accident.
