Dalia Saad |
A British actor, born in Birmingham, England, on August 19, 1899. He made his debut in a silent short film, Bride and Gloom (1921). He mostly appeared in short comedies, with minimum dialogue, because of his British accent, and continued his work in short and feature films in small roles, until he exceeded 300 films, and when he left for England penniless, conditions were not suitable for work, and Europe was preparing for World War II, so he returned to America. By the mid-fifties his health was deteriorating due to liver problems, and he was unable to work as an actor, so he took a job as a carpenter making wood props at Warner Bros. until he died at the age of 60 in North Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, on August 7, 1959. |
