Comedy director and producer who rose to fame in the twenties, born in Elmira, New York on January 14, 1892. He worked in many professions and made his debut in 1912. He produced about 2,000 short films and began producing films for Rogers in 1923 and partnered with Max Davidson. Among his most prominent works are : Sons of the Desert (1933), and Safety Last (1923). He died in Los Angeles on November 2, 1992 at the age of 100. |
