American actress, born in Salt Lake, Utah, USA, on January 6, 1913. She got married to actor Grant Withers (1931-30), then got married to Tom Lewis (1969-40), with whom she had two children. Then she got married to Jean Louis in 1993 until his death in 1997. She studied with her two sisters in parish schools and at the age of fourteen she made her debut in small roles until her fame increased. She won many awards. Among her most known works are Key to the City (1950), and The Crusades (1935). She died on August 12, 2000 in Los Angeles, of ovarian cancer. |
