Salma El-Sharkawy |
An American writer, director, and actor. He was born in San Francisco, California, in the United States. He began his acting career under the supervision of director Sidney Olcott in 1913. He left Hal Roach Studio in 1932, and Universal Pictures then hired him. He was famous for directing comedy films for the duo Laurel and Hardy. Among his films are College (1927), Big Business (1929), and Fifty Million Husband (1930). He worked for a short period of time in writing until he died.
