A French director, screenwriter, and editor, born on August 16, 1962, in Mohammedia, Morocco. He directed the feature films They Came Back (2004), Eastern Boys (2013), and BPM (Beats Per Minute) (2017), the latter of which won numerous awards around the world, including several awards at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival and the 2018 César Awards. He also co-wrote the film The Class, directed by Laurent Cantet, which won the César Award for Best Adapted Screenplay in 2009. |
