An American actress, born on February 13, 1923 in the Mexican city of Tampico, to a father of Dutch descent and a Mexican mother with German roots. She was the eldest of her 3 siblings. She lived in more than one European and Asian country, in addition to countries in Latin America and the Middle East. Linda was known for her passion for learning foreign languages, and she mastered 7 languages, including Arabic and Russian. She was famous for performing a number of exciting roles, which led Life magazine in the 1940s to call her the "physical bomb". At the beginning of her life, the young girl decided to enroll in the medical school after school. But fates decided to bring her together with the Australian actor Errol Flynn, who advised her to go to Hollywood and practice acting, especially since she had appeared in secondary roles in a number of Mexican artworks. So, she moved to Beverly Hills, where she participated in a fashion show and caught the attention of the director Louis Mayer, and signed a 7-year contract with him. She continued her work in Hollywood until the beginning of the sixties, and then returned to her country, where she completed what she began by acting in Mexican soap operas. She is known as the Bond girl, and for her participation in Casino Royal (1967), and Show Boat (1951). She died on July 25, 2011 in Palm Springs in the United States at the age of 87, due to a terminal illness.
