An American actress, born in New York, on June 16, 1943. She was born to a father who works in advertising and public relations and a mother who works as a writer. She graduated from high school to enroll in the Yale School of Drama on a scholarship. She headed to Broadway theaters to present The School for Wives. From theater to television, where she was one of the heroines of the famous series Knotts Landing, what made her known to the world. She won a Soap Opera Digest Award in 1986 and 1989 for her TV series Knots Landing (1979-1993). Despite her work on television, she never left the theater. She got married to the actor John Marshall in 1966, with whom she had a daughter, actress, Vanessa Marshall. Among her other works is Psycho Wedding Crasher (2017).
