A French director, writer and actor, born in Paris, on October 30, 1937. He was the first to shoot his films himself in the sixties with a single camera. He carried it on his shoulder and dazzled the world in a new style that was later followed. He got married in 1970, to Mrs. Christine Lelouch, with whom he had a son, Simon. He then got married to the actress Evelyne Bouix (1981-1985), with whom he had a daughter, Salome. He also get married to Marie Soohiel (1986-1992), an actress, with whom he had three children. He then finally got married to the actress Alessandra Martines (1993-2009), with whom he had a daughter, Stella. He was a jury member at the Cannes Film Festival in 1967, and he also owns a film production company. Among his most known works are Vivre Pour Vivre (1967), Les Miserables (1995), and Un + une (2015).
