An American author of English and Mexican origins, born in Flagstaff, Arizona. She studied zoology at Northern Arizona University, from which she graduated in 1973, then she moved to California and obtained a master’s degree in marine biology, then she obtained a doctorate in behavioral ecology from Northern Arizona University. She is known for writing the Outlander book series, where romance, fantasy, and history merged. She released the novel "Dragonfly in Amber" in 1992, then the novel "Drums of Autumn" in 1996, and the novel "The Fiery Cross" in 2001. Her credits include Outlander (2014) and Outlander: Blood of My Blood (2025). |
