A Cuban musical artist, born in Cuba. He joined the local orchestra in Santiago in 1927. He linked his name with a large number of music professors and bands. Among his artistic works is the album “Huellas del Pasado" in 1999 and the album "Las Flores De La Vida" in 2000. He invented a musical instrument called the Armonico, which combines the Spanish guitar and the Cuban tres, and it is currently known as the seven-string trellina. He won a Grammy Award for Best Recording for the album " Buena Vista Social Club."
