A Cuban musical artist, born in San Luis, Cuba. He began singing at the age of fourteen. He joined many Cuban bands and left for the Cuban city of Havana in 1957 to sing with the singer Benny Moré. He co-founded the band Los Bocucos with Pacho Alonso and participated in the ensemble Buena Vista Social Club, which revived Cuban boleros music. He is known for The Party (2017) and Buena Vista Social Club: Adios (2017). |
