The artist, captain of the Al-Ahly club and the Egyptian national team in the forties, was born in 1919. He began his football career early, as he used to play among his neighborhood and school friends. He used to play at the center of the left wing, but his position changed to become the back after he joined the Saidia School in 1932, which suited his physical and technical competence. He joined Al-Ahly in 1937, after Mukhtar El Titch watched him perform one of his matches with the Saidia team. He joined the national team in 1938, and his international participation was against the Turkish team. He also participated in the Universities Championship that was held in Paris in 1947, and in the Mediterranean Championship that was held in Greece in 1948. He retired in 1951, while he was in the peak of his stardom. He participated in many cinematic works as the movie Air Devils. He died on December 16, 2014 at the age of 95.
