He then joined the Vanguard of the Popular Liberation War, where he supervised the cultural section of Al-Tala'i magazine. Al-Tala’i carried many of his poems and articles. He wrote stories, poetry, and articles. His writings expressed his commitment to the cause of the Palestinian people. He depicted the life of exile and suffering, as well as the resistant Palestinian reality. Among his books are the collection “The Clouds” in 1965, the novel “The Khazandar” in 1979, the novel “The Homa” in 1980, and the novel “The Trench” in 1989. He died on Friday, May 30, 2003, and was buried in Damascus.
