American actor, born in Beverly Hills, California, USA. Charlie Chaplin and Lita Grey were his parents. He attended Lawrenceville School in New Jersey and the Black-Foxe Military Institute in Hollywood, California. During World War II, he enlisted in the army. He appeared with his father in Limelight (1952) and with his brother, Sydney, in the play Ethan Frome. He married actress Susan Magness and died in Santa Monica, California.
