He was an American actor, born on November 23, 1924 in Hollywood, California, USA, as Paul Richard Levitt. He received a psychology degree and a master's degree in drama from the University of California, Los Angeles. He also gained additional acting experience at the Theatre Wing in New York. He served as the commercial pitchman for General Motors for several years and was a commercial spokesman for Braniff Airways and American Express. His acting debut was in Four Star Theatre (1952). He is also known for Beneath the Planet of the Apes (1970), Monkey on My Back (1957), and The St. Valentine's Day Massacre (1967). He was married to actress Monica Keating. He passed away on December 10, 1974 from cancer, at the age of 50, in Culver City, California, USA.
