An American actress, born on May 3, 1889 in Chicago. She began her acting career on stage at the age of seven, and starred in the play Little Lord Fauntleroy. She received her BA and MA in oratory from Valparaiso University. His film career began in 1930, with films such as The Trail of the Lonesome Pine (1936), Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939), Our Town (1940) and Penny Serenade (1941), and It's a Wonderful Life (1946). She was nominated twice for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She died on January 11, 1981 in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 91. |
