A Turkish musician, screenwriter, politician, and director, born on June 20, 1946, in Ilgın, Konya, Turkey. Among his most important works as a composer are Mist (1990), Iron Earth, Copper Sky (1987), and Bliss (2007). He is also the writer and director of Veda - Atatürk, Mist, and Iron Earth, Copper Sky. He won many awards, including the Best Music Award for the film Mutluluk at the 2008 Ankara International Film Festival.
