Salma El-Sharkawy |
French actor, film director, screenwriter, and film critic. He was born in Paris, France. He has written and appeared in dozens of films and holds a master's degree in philosophy. After failing in the IDHEC competition, he began his career as a film critic by joining the magazine Cahiers du Cinéma in 1969, where he worked for several years and maintained links with other film journalists such as Pascal Kané and Jean-Louis Comolli, with whom he later worked as a screenwriter.
He studied at La Fémis (French National Film School). He participated in writing several works, such as Last Summer (2023), The Innocents (2016), Meurtre à Pacot (2014), and L'homme des foules (2001), and appeared in acting in several works, such as La clef (2007) and Les infortunes de la beauté (1999).
