French actress, born in Bois-Colombes, France. Among her most important works are Diary of a Country Priest (1951), Me and the Colonel (1958), and The Day of the Triffids (1963). She had a breathtaking French beauty, and she began her life as a dancer and then turned to film work in the 1940s. She moved to Hollywood in the 1950s, working as a supporting actress in many films, such as Little Boy Lost (1953). She left for England in the 1960s, working in many films until she finally settled in her homeland, France, and worked on television for a while before retiring.
