Salma El-Sharkawy |
A Japanese animator, born on November 6, 1974, in Tokyo, Japan. After graduating from the School of Visual Arts in New York, he worked at Blue Sky Studios as a visual developer and color key artist. He co-wrote and co-directed the animated short The Dam Keeper with Robert Kondo, which won them their first Oscar nomination. He is known for Monsters University (2013), Robots (2005), and Moom (2016). He is married to Mei Miyazaki, who is the niece of well-known animation director Hayao Miyazaki.
