Additionally, she had grown up knowing a photographer by the name of Jeanne Bertrand, and it's possible that his work influenced her. In 1959, she carried her bags and her camera and went on a tour around the world. She visited many countries. She took photographs of mysterious people and faces and also went to unusual places, and the film Finding Vivian Maier (2013) based on her life.
