American actor who was born on September 10, 1882 Sandwich, Illinois, US as Roy Paul Harvey. He married Merle Stanton and then married Ottye Harvey, with whom he remained until his death. Among his most important works are Spellbound (1945), Father of the Bride (1950), and Father's Little Dividend (1951). He began his artistic career on stage before appearing on the cinema screen in his forties. He provided supporting roles and enjoyed playing the role of the father. He died on December 5, 1955 in Los Angeles, California, US due to coronary artery thrombosis. |
