American actor who was born July 24, 1947 in Bethesda, Maryland, USA. He married the American actress and writer Cherie Currie ​(1990 - 1997with whom he got a child. Among his most important works: Angie (TV Series 1979–1980), Airplane (1980), and Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey (1993). He began his artistic activity in the school theater. He studied acting at the University of Virginia and joined various theaters before moving to Broadway theatres. He worked in film production and provided supporting roles in the mid-seventies until he gained fame through Airplane (1980) to work in cinema and television.
