Christina Aziz |
American actor, born in Portland, Indiana, USA. He married actress Christine Gossett (1938-1993), with whom he had two children and he remained with her until his death. He is best known for Peggy Sue Got Married (1986), Tora! Tora! Tora! (1970), and Meet Me in St. Louis (1944).
He was determined to become an actor and struggled a lot to reach his goal. He worked in amateur theater as a maintenance worker and worked in selling shoes until 1932. Afterwards, he managed to stand on the Broadway stage and made his first film role in the movie Murders in the Rue Morgue (1932). Then, he presented many diverse films with many companies until he achieved his dream and signed a contract with MGM, presenting many successful films until the mid-eighties. He was one of the founders of the Screen Actors Guild, headed it in 1957, and held several positions at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He died on October 12, 1993, in Laguna Beach, California, USA.
