American actor, who was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA on September 18, 1939. He married Kathryn Diebel in 1963 with whom he got 8 children. Among his most important works: The Alamo (1960), Grease (1978), and Casino (1995). He learned to play the trumpet at an early age, with the help of his father. He worked in nightclubs and theaters in a band called Rocco. In 1951, he won a competition to discover talents set up by local television to play solo on the trumpet, which gave him the opportunity to appear repeatedly on television programs as a trumpet player. He learned to dance and sing. He presented many successful songs and became very popular as a teenager, which helped him win small roles in films, especially films in which he sang.
