American actor born July 5, 1948 in Dallas, Texas, USA. He attended St. Mark's School of Texas, Dallas, USA. He studied astrophysics and Chinese linguistics while attending Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey. He moved to the United Kingdom after being recommended by his friend John Lithgow and became an actor at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). He and classmate Tommy Lee Jones have appeared in films of the Batman series. He is best known for Batman (1989), Star Wars (1977), and Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981). He died October 23, 2005 (age 57) in Santa Monica, California, USA.
