An Irish actor, born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK, on April 15, 1885. Albert studied at the St. Mary's Christian Brothers Grammar School in Belfast, worked in English theater as an actor and as a magician's assistant, then starred in many plays, but became more famous when he moved to Broadway theaters in America and then to the cinema screen, as he was a prominent member of Disney films. Among his most important works are Portrait of Jennie (1948), Royal Wedding (1951), Brigadoon (1954), and Darby O'Gill and the Little People (1959). Albert Sharpe died on February 13, 1970, in Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK.
