British screenwriter, born in Croydon, England. He studied at Wimbledon College of Arts, became a lecturer at Southampton College of Art, and was a drummer in jazz musician Chris Barber's band in the early 1960s. He joined the Arts Department of Television in Britain and became the art director for the television series The Avengers (1968-1969). He also participated in a number of works, such as Dr. Phibes Rises Again (1972) and The Final Programme (1973).
