He directed about thirty short films and documentaries, including Red Chewing Gum (2000), Her and Him Van Leo (2001), and How I Love You (2002). His recent work has focused on research in the field of photography through the Arab Image Foundation, which he co-founded in Beirut in 1996. He has three books on photography: Faces of Egypt, The Vehicle, and Mapping Sitting.
