At the beginning of the fifties, she started working on television. She won an Academy Award in 1945 for the movie None But the Lonely Heart (1944) and received a star on the Walk of Fame in 1960. Ethel Barrymore died on June 18, 1959, in Beverly Hills, California, USA.
