An Australian actor, born in Perth, Australia, and his family later moved to Sydney, where he completed his education. He studied acting at the Nepean Theatre in Penrith, a western suburb of Sydney. He joined the cast of the prestigious Sydney Theatre Company between 2008 and 2009, participating in numerous stage productions. He has played a variety of roles in Australian television series, including leading and guest roles, and has appeared in notable Australian and international films such as Vertical Limit, Beast of War, and Beneath Hill 60. He has written and directed several plays, including the short film Cliché in 1997. He married actress Pippa Grandison in 2000.
