A Swiss producer and director, born in Lausanne, Switzerland. She began her career as a singer in the 1960s but moved into filmmaking. In 1970, she met Jean-Luc Godard, and they started their very fruitful collaboration, producing several films together. She collaborated with Godard as a photographer, screenwriter, editor, and co-director. They co-wrote and co-directed several works, such as Here and Elsewhere (1976), Every Man for Himself (1980), How Is It Going? (1976), and Soft and Hard (1985).
