An American artist, born in Chicago, Illinois. She received a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2007, a grant for people with high creative abilities in the field of the arts. She became a fellow at the Film Study Center at Harvard University. She held several exhibitions in different museums, such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Her works were also shown in the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Museum of Modern Art. Her films were shown at the Cannes Film Festival and the Berlin International Film Festival. She is known for Black Moon (2011) and Empathy (2003). |
