A Cuban actress, born in Guanajay, Cuba, on July 2, 1928. She married Chu Chu Martinez, with whom she has a child, then actor and producer Grant Withers (1953-1955), Ismael Alfonso Halfss (1956-1960), and Dr. Ricardo A. Pego (1961-1966). Among her most important works are Belle of Old Mexico (1950), The Fabulous Senorita (1952), Rio Bravo (1959), and Jesse James Meets Frankenstein's Daughter (1966). She began her artistic career at the age of nine and trained in acting at MGM school after she signed a contract with the company in 1942.
Republic Studios mogul Herbert J. Yates admired her and helped her appear in Western films so much so that the rumor of her relationship with Herbert followed her throughout her life. On March 12, 1966, Estelita was found dead in the kitchen of her home in Van Nuys, California, USA, but it has been said that she died of influenza.
