Dalia Saad |
A Lebanese poet, born in the village of Al Mamariyeh, Zahrani District, Southern Lebanon, in 1944. He attended the Antonine School and studied Arabic literature and law at the Lebanese University. Fairouz sang many of his poems, including "Li Beirut" and "Asameena." He was President of the Lebanese Writers Union from 1998 until 2002. He received many honors, including the Literary Creativity Award from the Arab Thought Foundation, and the First Prize for Lebanese Literature from the Lebanese Business Council in the United Arab Emirates.
Harb worked in education and law, then worked on Lebanese Radio starting in 1966, writing and presenting the program With Sunset. He wrote the program With the Morning, which was presented by Nahida Fadl Al Dajani. He also wrote many TV series, including Notes of Bitter Time (1997), Quraysh (1994), and Last Days (1982). He died on February 9, 2014.
