An Indian writer of short stories, born on September 10, 1945 in Amritsar, India. He was the eldest of six children. After graduating with a Bachelor of Education degree, he became a school teacher. He published his first story "Akhan Vich Mar Gayi Khushi" in the Punjabi magazine Preetlari. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree. After retiring as a lecturer from Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, he got into the non-fiction field, writing several volumes. He's known for The Fourth Direction (2015).
