A French writer, born in Paris. He studied medicine, dreamed of becoming a writer, and began writing La Contagion, his first novel. After several years devoted to his work as a clinical psychologist, he taught French at the Cours des Petits Champs high school, became a screenwriter, and co-wrote the film Hôtel des Amériques directed by André Téchiné. He has written several works, including Nettoyage à sec (1997), Les roseaux sauvages (1994), La belle personne (2008), and Une histoire de fou (2015).
