Dick Shawn was born on December 1, 1923, in Buffalo, New York, USA as Richard Schulefand. He married Rita Bachner in 1946 and had 4 children. Among his most important works are It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World (1963), The Producers (1967), and Love at First Bite (1979). He was a singer and comedian in nightclubs in the fifties. When he played a role in The Wizard of Baghdad 1960, and his films continued, then he moved to Broadway musicals. He appeared in his last show in the theater of the University of California San Diego when he suddenly comically fell on stage, and the audience laughed, but it was the last fall, and he breathed his last on the stage on April 17, 1987, dying of a heart attack.
