An Indian writer, born on April 13, 1932, in Bareilly. Saxena completed his school and college qualifications in Lucknow. He had a deep interest in writing that began in his childhood. He only pursued a career in writing. He had the opportunity to work for popular magazines in India. Moreover, Saxena was an expert in three Indian languages: Urdu, Hindi, and Awadhi. He began writing for Doordarshan's popular serial Bibi Natiyon Wali. He is also known for Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India (2001), Swades (2004), and Jodhaa Akbar (2008). He died on October 31, 2013, in Lucknow, India.
