    Barbara Britton was an American actress, born in Long Beach, California, on September 26, 1919 as Barbara Maurine Brantingham. She received a Star on the Walk of Fame in 1960 for her television work. She died on January 17, 1980 in New York City, of stomach cancer. Her most important roles are in: The Fleet's In (1942), Captain Kidd (1945), and One Life to Live (1968).
