An American actress, who was born in South Bend, Indiana, and is of African-American descent. She graduated from Arlington High School in Indianapolis, and after graduating she moved to California to enter university, to graduate in social sciences with the help of the degrees she got in art subjects. When she was in California, she began acting professionally in series, including Generations (1989), but her first big chance was through the movie Independence Day (1996), and also through the movie Set It Off (1996). She won the MTV Movie Award. She participated in several films, including: Teaching Mrs. Tingle (1999), Two Can Play That Game (2001), and Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003). |
