She was an American actress, born on July 19, 1907 in Shoshoni, Wyoming, USA. Her father was a doctor and medical researcher. She was educated at the St. Mary's Academy in Minnesota and at the Hamilton College in Kentucky. When she was a teenager, Isabel began acting in stock companies. She pursued an acting career in 1930, in which she appeared on the Broadway show "Up Pops the Devil." She also played various supporting roles in several movies. She is known for Gone with the Wind (1939), A Tale of Two Cities (1935), and Born to Kill (1947). She was married to Lovell "Cowboy" Underwood, Owen Crump, and Paul Marion. She received a Star on the Walk of Fame in 1960. In 1959, she got into trouble with the law in Las Vegas for passing bad checks, and later, she spent five days in jail for drunk driving. She passed away on April 5, 1972 in Hollywood, California, USA.
