An Algerian political candidate, ex-journalist, poet, and novelist, born in Khadra, Algeria. He served as the Algerian Minister of Culture. His grandfather was a judge during the Liberation Revolution. He studied at three high schools, and he obtained a baccalaureate degree in 1979. He also earned a number of diplomas such as a diploma in Specialized Postgraduate Studies - Strategy Branch from the University of Algiers (2006-2007). He's known for The Mountain's Maiden (2004).
