An American singer and actor, he was born in Winthrop, Massachusetts, USA. He is of Italian origin. He learned how to play the guitar at an early age. He studied at Middletown Second School and graduated in 1968. He became friends with Paul McCartney, a member of the Beatles, and Ringo Starr, the band's drummer. He formed his first band, Whirlwinds. He is known for The Sopranos (1999-2007), Lilyhammer (2012-2014), and The Irishman (2019).
